Fresh picks every day, chosen from your ratings and shelves, not bestseller lists. Each one says why it’s there. Save one, pass on another, and the next picks learn from it.
You can also describe what you’re in the mood for. Type it or say it: a cozy mystery by the sea, something like Piranesi but shorter, a book for a long flight.
Reading sessions
Your timer and page stay on the lock screen
Start a session when you sit down to read. A Live Activity on iPhone and a live notification on Android show the timer with +10 pages, Pause and Finish, so you never open the app mid-chapter.
Home screen widgets show your book, your page and your streak. Today’s Pick brings back one book from your want-to-read shelf each day.

Follow readers who loved the same books you did
Follow readers with taste like yours, see what they’re reading and rating, and react. Share a book or your profile as a link or an image card, and invite friends straight into the app.

Pick a daily goal from five to thirty minutes. Every week in a row earns a streak freeze for the day life gets in the way. Set a yearly challenge in books, pages or both, and NextBook shows the pace that gets you there.

Built separately for each phone
NextBook is a native app on both platforms, built with each one’s own tools. iPhone gets Live Activities, the Dynamic Island, lock screen widgets and Siri. Android gets live notifications that keep the timer in the status bar, and home screen widgets. Your library syncs between them.
